July 13-15, 2018, BLERD CITY CON 2.0, at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York increase to a three-day conference. The conference totaled 62 activities. 

This year, we had an animation theme starting with the panel, Black In Animation featuring artists of the Blue Sky Studios, who are the makers of the animation films Ice Age, Fernindad, and Rio; screening of awarding winning feature animation film Battle dream Chronicle; and, the short animation film Black Panther vs. Batman.

We welcomed entrepreneur Clayton Banks, who curated and moderated a panel on Future Now and Technological Exploration in partnership with Silicon Harlem; a Fireside Chat with Fubu Radio’s Keith Kerrigan and On-Air personalities, and achildren’s STEAM workshop in collaboration with Keysha Bennett-Ruffin of Science in the City. Weended the weekend with an awards ceremony including nods for the LA Banks Award, writer of Science Fiction/ Fantasy/Horror, to illustrator Khary Randolph.
