CLAIRESA CLAY, FOUNDER OF BLERD CITY
CLAIRESA CLAY, BLERD CITY’s Founder and Executive Producer, has developed cultural programs in film, visual arts, and literature in conjunction with academic and artistic organizations as well as independent artists. To date, she has supported cultural projects presented by New York University’s Institute of African American Affairs, the Organization of Women Writers of Africa, and American Museum of Natural History’s Kwanzaa celebration of NYC .
Clairesa currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Reel Sisters and Board of Directors of ImageNation Cinema Foundation. In addition, for the past 20 years, she has taught English with the New York City Department of Education.
